Timmy Ryan Downers Grove North DB Class of 2022 5'9 160
Timmy Ryan how was your Spring Season?I made the best out of the spring season that I could. At DGN we were limited to a four week season, and I was able to make a strong impact in our secondary as our only junior starter. I am traditionally a free safety, but our defensive coordinator had me play field corner and nickel in addition to safety, so I expanded my game and became a much more versatile DB. My IQ of the game and ability to read an offense grew tremendously and that shows in what I did on the field. What does football mean to you?Football is my happy place and is at the center of my life. I have been playing since second grade and most of my fondest memories in life are on the field. Our team here at DGN is a very close knit group, I look at my teammates as my best friends and brothers, and my coaches are some of my best role models. I love football because of the relationships I have made with my teammates, and I believe those bonds cannot be broken. What colleges have you been talking to?UW Platteville, Augustana, St. Norbert, Indiana Wesleyan, Saginaw Valley State, UW Eau Claire, and Ohio Northern are the schools that I have had the most communication withWhat should college coaches know about you?I have always been told by coaches that I am one of the most coachable players they have worked with. I believe nobody can out work me and I have a big heart, especially when it comes to football. I want coaches to know that I always leave it all on the field, and I am very confident and hungry, yet humble. What game are you most excited for this upcoming season?Definitely most excited to get to face Downers South once again this year. We have a six year winning streak against the mustangs and keeping that streak alive is huge for us at DGN. They have some talented receivers so as a DB I'm excited to get some action against them, and it would feel great to beat them again, this time on their turf.
