Jaiden Henry how was your sophomore season? I felt like my sophomore season went pretty well. We went 4-6 and I started both ways on JV and got moved up to varsity for some games. Overall, I felt like the team improved a lot from last season and also me as-well. What was one of your favorite memories this season? My favorite Memory this season would probably be the first win we had vs Chicago De Lasalle. I had a great game with 2 tds and 145 all purpose yards. It just was a great team win and I felt all the work I put in during the off season. What should college coaches know about you? I feel like college coaches should know that I am not like any other kid. When I put my mind to something I want to work my hardest to go achieve it. I am always trying to make an impact on the field if it’s being a vocal leader or someone who sets the tone when the team is down. I don’t ever give up and if i come upon a challenge I find way to get passes it and keep going.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel that my strongest trait is definitely my route running and ability to get open and make plays. I am very good at reading coverages as receivers and seeing where and when I will be open on my route. Also, the way I can play physical and know that whoever I line up against I won’t ever give up no matter size, weight, etc. What goals do you have for yourself next season? Goals I have for myself next season are to be a leader on my team. Our Team was senior heavy this year and most of our leaders such as Lebarion Gilmore, Cheterion Rodgers, and Yasine Gorchene are leaving this year. Also I want to get all conference as a Junior which means I can’t get lazy in the off season and got to work as hard as I did last year to keep improving. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason? I plan to work on a lot of DB work with my brother TJ Griffin. He is a DB at Illinois and is someone I like to talk to help because he is already at the college level and can help me improve my game a lot. I am also going to work a lot of receiver work, route running, hands, speed, etc. I feel like you can never be perfect at something and should always keep working.

What motivates a Jaiden Henry? Things that motivate me are my family. Seeing my family everyday motivates me to be better on and off the field. Another thing that motivates me are my teammates. Seeing my teammates achieve things on and off the field and thing I love to see. And last thing that motivates me would probably be myself. Seeing the progress that I have from time to time shows me that if I keep it up, I will keep growing more and more.
