Amani Akins, how was the Lake Forest Camp?
The Lake Forest Camp was awesome it was very exhilarating and fun, and most of the coaches there were very helpful. I myself got better at the lake forest camp.
How has your offseason been so far?
My off-season so far has been amazing, I put in as much work as I can say in through day out, I find myself studying plays for most of my summer days. I get a lot of field work on average about 4 or 5 hours a day. I have learned to enjoy the process.
How was your sophomore season?
My Sophomore Season was good, and I noticed lots of improvement from my freshman year. Sophomore year I found myself being able to compete with lots of top athletes. I enjoyed every snap of Sophomore year, and I am prepared to have an even better year this upcoming 2023 Season.
What does football mean to you?
Football is more than just a game to me. It's a way of life that brings people together and creates a sense of community. It's a sport that teaches valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and hard work. Football is a source of joy and freedom. What should college coaches know about you? College Coaches Should know that I am an Athlete I am willing to play and work hard wherever and whenever I can. I am very invested in my future in football. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait on the football field is the connection I feel with the people around me. The connection I feel with the players and teammates and coaches around me.
What part of your game are you working on in the offseason? I am working to improve basic skills like staying on top of the receiver for as long as possible I am working on speed agility and explosiveness as as player. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? This upcoming season I want to be one of the best if not the best defensive back in my conference. I want to achieve as much as possible this season including winning a state championship.
