Donell French how was your sophomore season? My sophomore more year was great I was able to pull my grades up played some varsity football, help my team win a state championship even joined the wrestling, and track team. All in all, it was one of the best years of my life. What does football mean to you? It means everything to me I love the game I love the people met from playing football just the entire concept of building a family and grinding with your boys is a great feeling in itself. I love winning. What should college coaches know about you? I go to Fenwick high school, I’m a hard worker leader, ambitious, and a great teammate. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Vocal leader. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I’ve been working on some of it all like I said before I wrestled I that helped with body control stamina, in tackling technique after wrestling season, I went out to track in worked on my speed getting faster in even went down state. This summer I have been working on my footwork, and overall DB mechanics getting out of breaks earlier being more patient, playing in phase, learning some better ways to play off man, and just overall becoming a better football player. But lots more to work to do though. What motivates a Donnell French? My younger brother setting example for him, the loss of my dad. I know what he would have wanted out of me in just my love for the game. What goals do you have for yourself this season? Winning a state championship and picking up some offers won't be just enough. Playing my hardest at every snap and knowing I put my all in every practice and every game.
How was your wrestling season? I went 15-3, I won two tournaments, I qualified for took 3rd in CCL. State was not the best, but I haven’t stopped working since. Also this was my first year.
