Will Knapp Morris WR Class of 2023 6'1 170

Will Knapp how was your first two games back? The first two games reminded me how much I love not only playing football, but how much I love playing with the guys that’ve been out there with since I was 11. Before the first game started, I was pretty anxious to be out there, but it really only took one or two play for me to calm down and play the game at my pace. Who has surprised you on the Morris squad these first two weeks? Vaughn Mills, hands down. Kid worked harder than the majority of the guys in state probably. On paper you’d say he’s pretty undersized but in these past two games especially he’s put on some blocks at wing that’ve led to huge gains or scores. He’s also made some game changing plays on defense as well. What do you see in this Kaneland team for Friday? I think Friday will be a good test for our defense. Kaneland is a dangerous passing team with a good quarterback spinning the ball and a couple great receivers that will give you a run for your money every chance they can. With that being said, I have all the confidence in the world in my guys on both sides of the ball. What is favorite route to run? Really any route that’ll get us in the end zone or into scoring position. I’ve had two receptions in two games and thankfully enough they’ve both been touchdowns. So probably just any route that puts points on the board. How good is Carter Button? Carter is an absolute menace. I feel like he’s got eyes everywhere. I’ve seen him get hit making an off-balance throw and it somehow be a 40-yard dime. He’s like an alien. By any means is Carter fast, no, he’ll tell you that. Yet he still manages to produce big rushes like he runs a 4.5. And if he wasn’t the quarterback, I wouldn’t mind him on the defense because he can lay the boom. What goals do you have for yourself the rest of the season? Just stay healthy, keep producing, and do whatever I can to help my team reach our end goal.
