Danyil Taylor Mount Carmel TE/ATH Class Of 2025 6'1 220
Danyil Taylor how was your sophomore season?
My sophomore season was really good, it was a season where I had to fill some big shoes for starting as sophomore at tight end, I filled those shoes and great things started to come for me. I won a state championship as a sophomore that felt pretty cool, overall, I had a great sophomore season and i had a lot of fun with my seniors. Next year is going to be great.
What does football mean to you?
Football means the world to me, it’s very peaceful for me. I just love the game it’s my passion. Football is my ticket out. It keeps me focused and it makes me motivated to want to do something great for my family.
What should college coaches know about you?
Colleges should know that I’m a team player, I get the job done when needed you could put me anywhere. I’m a leader and that I work very hard and motivate others to be successful.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
I’ve been working on route running and having better lose hips, also working on being very explosive blocking on the perimeter and backfield.
What do you like about playing tight end?
I like that you get to be more involved in the play when you're a tight end, you get to hit a lot of people which I find fun, but most defenders don’t expect tight ends to really catch passes and go out for long routes when they go against tight ends so it’s like you're a sneaky WR that no one thinks about.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? My goal for this season is to become better than I was last year, have more growth and win the state title again.
