Tyson Dewey Lakes WR/DB Class of 2023 6'2 165

Tyson Dewey how was your junior season? My junior season was good. It was a great bounce back from my previous season, and my position change back to wide receiver had a lot to do with my success. I still have a lot of room for improvement, however I proved myself to be a threat on the field this season. What does football mean to you? Football to me is more than a game. It continues to teach me teamwork, grit, and unselfishness. One of the hardest things to do in life is put others before yourself, and football calls for that every play. Football also has helped me build great relationships with my teammates and coaches. And at the end of the day, the feeling of having the ball in your hands with your family, friends, and community cheering you on is second to none. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I am a playmaker on the field and am confident in my abilities. I also use my knowledge as a former QB to make smart plays. I always make sure to communicate with my teammates and coaches. Also, I love getting better and am willing to put in the work to succeed. Along with that, I prioritize my education and put my best foot forward in the classroom. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I think my strongest trait on the football field is my ability to make difficult catches, especially in clutch situations. How does Lakes look for the upcoming season? We are looking to be competitive in our conference with the leadership from our coaches, me, and some of my teammates. We are putting a lot of work in to get better, and we have a lot of guys committed to the success of our team.
Who else on Lakes is ready to have playmaking season? Max Bausch, Amir Al Hindi, Isaiah Stigall, and Tayvion Pitts are all ready to be playmakers next season for us.
