Ryder Bergemann Burlington Central Athlete Class Of 2024 5'8 150

Ryder Bergemann how was your junior season? It was a very strong and enjoyable season. I had a lot of growth all around from offense and defense to the leadership aspect of the game as well. I continued to push myself and the teammates around me. It showed some results as we won more games than in recent years. Me and my teammates continue to keep working to make it to the playoffs this year. I also hit some personal goals for my junior year. What should college coaches know about you? I break down the game quickly and make smart decisions. I see the field really well and see the weak points. On top of that I never play scared and I am ready to go at the best and compete with the best. I will always give 100% on every single play. What does football mean to you? Football is more than just a sport me. Football is a brotherhood, it gives you a connection with your teammates. motivates you to work together, and push your teammates to do better. Football also has taught me many life lessons that I use to this day to better me as a person and I feel it is a valuable thing of the sport. Football is a wonderful thing to me and a must have.

What do you believe is your strongest trait on the football field? My composure. I always keep calm no matter the situation and I keep my teammates composure in check to keep their heads in the game and to make smart decisions. What goals do you have for yourself this season? I don’t want to allow any receiving touchdowns. Have at least 1 PBU every game. Don’t miss any tackles. How good can this Burlington Central team be for 2023? We are going to be a great team. We are all working extremely hard. We’ve had the most people in the weight for year. People are putting in work elsewhere too. Whether it be play another sport, agility training, or doing flag football. We also have much more experience then last year and our team is out for revenge from getting knocked out of a playoff clinching game. What do incoming players for the Burlington Central program need to know about this program? They need to be ready to put in a lot of effort. They have to stay focused and work hard if they want to succeed at the next level. Also, to work for the guy next to you and hold yourself accountable.

What game are you most excited for this season? I am most excited to play Jacobs this year because we got slow close to beating them last year, and I think we have the opportunity to beat them. Who is the one player that you faced last season that impressed you the most? Tyler Vasey easily. He is the hardest person I have ever had to tackle. He accelerates so quickly and can make everyone miss. If you blink you miss him. He made teams struggle and turned bad plays into touchdowns Who is one player on Burlington Central program from the class of 2026 that college coaches should know about? Aidan Nuno. Very big and physical kid. He’s been putting in work and can move some weight. He has the opportunity to have a starting role next year.
