Coach Big Pete's Sunday Conclusion For Round 1 IHSA Playoffs 2023 - Final Scores & Highlights

Wow, what a first weekend of IHSA playoff action. Batavia 46-point drubbing of Brother Rice in Round 1 Class 7A. 4-5 Nazareth getting the big win over Prairie Ridge in Crystal Lake. Collinsville going up north giving an undefeated Maine West squad its first loss of the season. Hillcrest going down south getting the best of a Carbondale squad. Coal City absolutely dominating University and shutting them out. Chicago Public Schools getting shellacked with only 2 teams surviving to the second round. CCL/ESCC up and down teams got a fire lit under them in the first round. Which is even more scary for the public-school football scene. Lena-Winslow, Rochester, Mount Carmel, Loyola, Roxana, Morgan Park, Maroa-Forsyth just keep winning.
