Allen Middleton WR/ATH Mascoutah Class of 2023 5'11 180

Allen Middleton how is your season going for you so far? My season’s going great so far. I’m remaining humble and working to improve my game from week to week. What does football mean to you? Football means the world to me. It’s something I’ve been doing since I was young, and something I hope I’m still doing 10 years from now. I love being able to compete day in and out day out. Without football I don’t know what kind of person I would be today. It has taught me how to lead and be a team player. It also gives me an opportunity to bond with a group of guys working to accomplish the same goal which can help me off the field too. The game of football is truly a blessing to me and it will definitely have an impact on me forever. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I’m a hard working kid that’s genuine and passionate about the game of football. I love to play. I love to compete. They should also know that I’m not scared to go up against good competition. I’m a firm believer that iron sharpens iron. During the offseason, I train with the best players in the area to make sure I constantly improve my game. Lastly, they should know that I’m someone they will not have to worry about me in the classroom. I understand the importance of getting good grades. I stay on task and focus on my schoolwork. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait on the football field is my versatility. My coaches are able to stick me in different spots with the confidence that I can play at a high level. How good can this Mascoutah squad be ? The sky is the limit for us. We have all the right pieces to win a state championship, we just have to keep on working. We’ve got some things we can improve on as a team, but by the time the playoffs roll around I have no doubt that this group of guys will be an absolute unit. It’s truly a brotherhood being built here in Mascoutah. I feel like one of our biggest strengths is that we trust one another to do their part. We hold each other to a high standard at all times. What is your favorite route to run? That’s a tough one, but I’d have to go with a post dig. It can’t be guarded if you run it correctly.
