Billy Samp how was your junior season?
It was good, we weren’t where we wanted to be record wise, but I got a lot of good experience behind some great players.
What does football mean to you?
Football means a ton to me. I’ve enjoyed playing it and watching it for as long as I can remember. I’ve also built some of my closest friendships through football.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I feel my leadership is my strongest trait. I can hold my teammates accountable on the field and help them out if they don’t know what they’re doing.
What should college coaches know about you?
They should know that I’m very coachable, a quick learner, and a great student.
What is one of your favorite routes to run?
Definitely a go route. With my size I can get the ball where a DB can’t get it and it always makes for an exciting highlight.
How does West Aurora look for the upcoming season?
I think we’re looking pretty good. We have a lot of returning talent and a ton of guys in the weightroom or track.
What do incoming freshmen need to know about the football program? We’ve had a rich history and that they all need to buy-in in order to succeed.
