Ben Fawcett Stevenson QB Class Of 2024 6'0 165

Ben Fawcett how is your offseason going so far? It’s been great, as a two-sport athlete I’ve found a program that I’ve been sticking to, and my overall strength and athleticism has gone through the roof. It also helps to have an amazing before school lift with all my teammates pushing each other and making each other better. How was your junior season last fall? Last season I didn’t get a huge opportunity being behind a very talented senior quarterback. However I do feel as though in the time that I did get in that I showed light for this coming year. I feel as though that was just a preview to what is really coming for my next season. What does football mean to you? Up until my sophmore year, football was always a passion of mine, I started playing tackle football in 2nd grade and from there it was my first real love. After my sophmore year, it is still a passion but also an opportunity to allow me to play at the next level. The bonds that you make on a football team are unmatched.

What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I am naturally a leader, I have been my whole life in everything I do. Not only that but I am looking for a school where nothing is given to me, and that I have to earn trust and a spot because I believe that I am the hardest working kid in any room I walk in. What do you like about playing QB? Playing QB gives me the opportunity to lead my team and be someone that people look up to. I also like being in control of the pace of the game and being able to be a key part of my teams offense success or downfall as I am someone who will take the blame for wrongdoings. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel my strongest trait is the ability to make something out of nothing. I am a very elusive dual threat quarterback, and I can make plays even if my pocket collapses, with that being said another trait of mine is my arm and being able to throw a good ball on the run in those scenarios.

What game are you most excited for this upcoming season? I’m most excited for a better playing opportunity, I trust in my ability to lead my team to a great season and keep the playoff streak alive. With that being said we lost a lot of seniors last year so I feel like people need to step up and so I am more than ready to take that leadership role on and have my teammates “buy in” to the process.

What is your favorite route to throw to? My favorite route to throw is probably a post because I can either put some velo behind it or bomb it depending on the positioning of the safety. I like being able to make that decision and as a baseball player, throwing the ball hard is fun.
