UW-Platteville Commit

Louis Corey how was your 2019 season? It was awesome, I had the opportunity to play both sides of the ball and I was named all conference too. Lastly playing the sport I love with some of my closest friends was the best. What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me, I’m a coaches son so ever since the day I was born I’ve been around football. It’s so much more than a game, it’s a livelihood. It builds character, and builds bonds with people that are unbreakable. That’s why it’s the best sport in the world. What made you commit to UW-Platteville? They have a really great coaching staff and tradition there, at one of my visits me and my position coach had a 3 hour conversation. Also my brother and I decided to go together.. which was a factor too we both love the campus and facilities and we believe it will be a great fit! What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? As a coaches son I was taught every position and the game of football, so I feel my best trait is knowing the game. Making smart plays, knowing what the defender wants to do or when I’m on defense what the offense wants to do at any point of the game. I believe this is a good trait because you’re more mindful of what’s happening in the game and you can make better decisions when you’re on the field. Another thing that helps is my motivation to keep getting better, whether it’s on the field, the classroom, or in the weight room I’m always trying to keep improving. How does Maine West look for the upcoming spring season? I believe we’re looking really good. For all the adversity that we have gone through, not just COVID-19. But with a new head coach, and new offensive and defensive coordinators. Coach Klupchak has done a great job of preparing us for this season, and we’re looking forward to defending our CSL conference title!
