Jimmy Antonietti Lyons Township Class of 2022 QB 6'2 185
Joey Antonietti how was your spring season? It was great to be back on the field. Unfortunately, our 6 game spring season was reduced to 4 games due to Covid outbreaks. We finished the season 2-2 and are gearing up for the fall season. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know I have a great work ethic. I hate to lose. I always go the extra mile to make sure my team comes out on top. Playing college football is a goal of mine and I’m working very hard to make the goal a reality. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. I’ve made life long friends through the game and there isn’t much more you can ask for. I’ve also had great mentors who made me the person I am today. It’s the greatest team game out there. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My leadership. I was voted team Captain this year by my teammates which was a big honor. I also believe my athletic ability is a great of trait of mine. I can run the football and make plays which helps open up our offense. What do you like about playing QB? I like having the ball in my hands. With that being said there comes pressure and I enjoy it. Staying calm and collected is something an old coach taught me at a young age and it has helped me throughout my career. Being able to throw, run, and make the big play is an unbelievable feeling that makes me love the position so much.
