Zach, your sophomore season is over, but your team was playoff eligible for the first time since 1984. How exciting was that?
It was the best feeling. Still thinking back on it the moment still doesn’t feel real!
What have you been working on in the off-season?
I’m working on my foot speed and trying to get stronger in the weight room.
What are your goals for the off-season?
My main goal this off-season are to get my current maxes in the weight room up, and to increase my foot speed. I’ve had my mind set since the season ended on this task.
You had a game day visit to Illini-how was that?
It was unbelievable experience, I got to catch up with coaches I worked with at the 3 Illini Camps I attended. Getting to feel the atmosphere in Champaign was amazing as well.
Do you plan on attending any college camps this summer?
I plan on attending all the Illinois camps once again and also the Ohio State camps the summer as well.
If there is one player that you would say this is going to be his year, who would you say?
I would have to say Frank Sanders (C/O 2025 T/DE 6'6 300lbs)
If there is one thing you want to college coaches to know about you, what would that be?
I want College coaches to know that I’ll be the hardest worker on the field and that I’ll be giving a 110% with no complaints and that I’ll never be a worry outside the sport as well, meaning I’ll never be getting into trouble in the classroom or out in public.
