Nick Bafia how was your 2019 season?

Overall, my 2019 season went very well. I feel like I really proved what I can do at the defensive back position last year and have worked extremely hard this offseason to have a great senior year. As a team we started the year off firing on all cylinders and are now preparing for another tough schedule heading into the 2020 season.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I would like college coaches to know that I will not be outworked, whether it be on the field or in the classroom. I’m a game changer due to my speed and athleticism which essentially allows me to play any skill position on the field. I also bring a team first mentality to the game and want to see all of my teammates succeed alongside me.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?

The main thing I worked on this offseason was simply improving my technique at the cornerback position. I am much more fundamentally sound now and it has helped me make more plays on the ball.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?

I’d have to say my strongest trait on the field is either my speed or my versatility. I can match up one-on-one and cover any receiver when playing cornerback and then the very next play I could line up at free safety and fly across the field to make a big play.

How does Benet look for 2020?

I’m excited we have another very talented team this year. It’s been great to see the improvements everyone has made this offseason. We all show up ready to compete and better ourselves everyday in practice. We are coming out with a chip on our shoulder each and every game this season.
