Reese Griffin DT Taft Class of 2021 6'3 265

Reese Griffin how was your 2019 season?

My 2019 football season was easily the best one I’ve had yet. I went from not getting considerable minutes my freshman and sophomore year to being able to start every game and playing all of it. I led my team in sacks with 12 and I cane 5th in overall tackles with 59. Ever since we started playing on the new field, the new environment just sparked a plug in me that just ignited “the beast”(my nickname on my team) in me. I honestly just had so much fun last year and I can’t wait to see what this year has to offer for me.

What schools have you talked to so far?

After getting my first official offer from Roosevelt University, I haven’t talked to that many schools yet. But before that, I talked to Minnesota State in Mankato, Wheaton college, Trinity International College, and my biggest connection right now: Arizona State University

What should college coaches know about you?

But some things that college coaches should know about me is that I’m a team leader and very talkative and energetic, in a good way. I really love the game of football and I have good knowledge of the game. I show good effort on the field and I definitely make sure to stand out over everybody else.

What do you like about playing in the trenches?

I love how intense it gets down there. I love being physical all the time, and getting to out-man the guy across from me. Playing in the trenches really shows who’s a man and who’s just there to have fun. Not like you can’t have fun but when you’re down there, it’s all business

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

My strongest trait on the field is 100% my mindset. When I’m on the field, I know that whoever I go against, no matter how big or strong, it’s my mission to get past them and so I do just that whenever I need to. I may not be the strongest person on the field physically, but I make sure I’m the strongest one out there mentally.
