Jack Scales Marmion Academy DB Class of 2021 5'11 170

Jack Scales how was your 2019 season?

My 2019 season went pretty well. Overall I think I performed well on the field, but I expect more from myself in 2020. As a team, we proved a lot of people wrong and we look to carry that into this upcoming season.

Favorite memory from the 2019 season was?

My favorite memory from the 2019 season was either the hard fought game we had against De La Salle or my three interception game against Fenwick. We won against De La Salle and a lot of people didn’t expect that. It started off our conference play extremely well and gave us confidence throughout the season.

What schools have you talked to so far?

I currently hold my only offer from Augustana. I have been talking to schools like Drake, Dayton, and Eastern Illinois. Minnesota State University-Moorhead and UW-Stout have been in contact often as well. Some of the smaller more academic schools like Middlebury, Hamilton, Carleton College, and Wheaton College have been talking to me. A few others as well.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I’m an extremely dedicated player. I will do anything for my team at any moment. I am selfless and always do what’s in the best interest of the team. College coaches should also know that I will outwork anyone on the field any day. I am a dedicated and hard nose player.

How does Marmion Academy look for 2020?

I think Marmion Academy is ready for anything this season. We have a great coaching staff that always puts us in the best place to succeed. We were pretty young last season and have a lot of returning players to count on. We have high expectations for this season and fear nobody. We know there are a few teams who want us bad and we are ready to take on the challenge. We expect a lot this season and I think we will perform well.
