Casey Forbes Class of 2021 WR/DB St. Laurence 5'8 165
CBP: Casey Forbes how was your 2019 season?
CASEY: My season was great! I give all the thanks in the world to the seniors. They set the tone and everybody played through them. I’m really going to miss them! Overall I played a lot on special teams which I was great with me because we had so many great seniors in front of me.
What was one of your favorite memories last season?
There is a lot. Either beating Brother Rice on there homecoming or the whole Prep Bowl run. The team really came together in all those games.
What does football mean to you?
Football is a brother hood. At St. Laurence we look after each other like a family. Football is the greatest game in the world and I would do anything to play and practice with my teammates right now. Football is also a game where I can further my academic career which is the greatest opportunity anyone could ask for. I love the joy it bring me on Friday nights fighting with my teammates to get a win from the crowd or everybody around it bring me joy that people come and watch St. Laurence football.
Who on St.Laurence should I keep an eye out for in 2020?
You can keep an eye on for the whole team. Any returning starter is going to be the to success this year. A lot the sophomores coming up like Mike Gentile, Ryan Carroll, Anthony Petan and Zack Siebenaler will help us replace our great senior class we had last year. But returning Juniors like Qb Darius Wilson, WR/ CB Aaron Wofford, WRs Jalen Hamilton, Keith Mcbee, AJ Wrenn, our OL will he ran by Damaurius Stewart and Jimmy Moore. On the Defensive side you can watch for LBs Damion Rhoden and David McBrearty, Antonio Vargas played SS and will have a big year this year. Overall you should watch out for al of us this year Coach.
Who is the funny guy on St.Laurence?
Definitely Keith Mcbee he can make anybody’s day if you just give him 60 seconds.
Thoughts on your baseball season being delayed due to coronavirus?
It is really tough Coach. Today was supposed to be our first game. I really want to go out and compete with my brothers we have worked so hard for this season and we want to make it a great one, but the coronavirus is making it difficult for that. The whole team has kept in touch including the coaches we had a virtual practice on a Group FaceTime with the coaches yesterday and Thursday and I can tell everybody is so really to go out and play. I hope this virus ends soon because my sophomore brother Connor Forbes BP is not top notch but it will have to do until this virus ends.
