Meet Sterling OL Ryan Heffelfinger Class Of 2021

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Ryan Heffelfinger Class of 2021 Sterling OL 6'0 255

COACH BIG PETE: Ryan Heffelfinger how was your 2019 season?

RYAN: My 2019 season went really good. My team went 10-1. I was on a very dominant offensive line with two kids who received D1 offers. After the season I was named First Team All-Conference and All-State Academic.

What does football mean to you?

Football is everything to me. From tough practices to team gatherings, I love every aspect of it. Football has brought me closer to my family and friends. To me, there is no better feeling then strapping up for my brothers, coaches, school and town. I can’t imagine a life where I wouldn’t be able to play football.

What do you like about playing in the trenches?

My favorite things about playing in the trenches is pancakes. Physically overpowering someone, burying them in the turf and feeling the air leave their body is an all around great feeling.

How did your wrestling season go?

My wrestling season went very good. I only lost one match the whole season.

How does this Sterling squad look for 2020?

I believe we are going to have a very successful year. We are returning most of our defense, and most of the guys who didn’t start played often this year. We have some spots to fill on offense, but the guys working to fill them are hungry to make a name for themselves.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of IHSA Football
