COACH BIG PETE: Peter Roll how was your 2019 season?

PETER ROLL: Getting to play varsity as a sophomore was an honor and there was ups and downs throughout the season. It was my first year playing safety and wide receiver and every game and practice was a great learning experience.

What does football mean to you?

Football has been my life since i can remember and i’ve always been around the sidelines and the players because of my dad. I take every opportunity i can to play it because i love the game. I can’t wait to keep learning more about it and develop my skills

What should college coaches know about you?

I’m a hardworking multi sport athlete that keeps straight As. I love watching film and I’ll do anything and play any position to help my team win.

What do you believe is your strongest trait on the field?

As a safety, i used my years as a quarterback and knowledge of the game to read the offense but my athletic abilities help me get to the ball and make plays at both safety and wide receiver.

What can I expect from this Lake Park team in 2020?

I love my Lake Park teammates and I wish them luck this year. With everything that happened with my dad this year I have decided to transfer to Nazareth Academy. I’m looking forward to helping them return to State and do what I can to make them better.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?

I’ve been spending a lot of time playing basketball and starting track but in my free time I have been lifting as often as possible, catching and route running, and just studying the playbook and watching film.

What goal do you have for yourself next season?

As a safety on defense I want to be solid on run support but make big plays and create turnovers to get our offense the ball is much as we can. I just want to come in and do all the little things right to help our team get the job done.
