Colin Blazek Class of 2021 QB 6'3 190 Neuqua Valley
Colin Blazek how was your 2019 season?
As a varsity team our season went well. We were DVC conference champions going 9-2 and making it to the second round of the playoffs. As a player I was fortunate enough to get playing time and gain experience in the majority of the games. The highlight of the season for me was playing against Metea when I was able to complete my first varsity touchdown pass.
What is one thing you learned the most from Mark Gronkowski?
Mark helped to open my eyes to what it means to be a true leader on the football field. Whenever a player made a mistake during a play, he was always right there to support them and help them get it right the next time.
What does football mean to you?
I have been playing football since I was 7 years old and it has always held a special place in my heart. I love that football is a team sport where all 11 players on the field have to come together to execute to perfection.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
A goal that I have for myself this season is to become a better leader and teammate while also having the best season possible.
What should college coaches know about you?
Coaches should know that I'm a hard worker and very dedicated to the game of football. I love being able to work with my teammates on every play to achieve our goals. In the past year I've also grown a lot both mentally and physically. This past January at the Boom Best of the Best showcase, I received the QB MVP award. I plan on attending the Northwestern Camp as well as the North Central College showcases this summer.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?
I feel that my awareness of the game and my high football IQ allows me to make the best decisions about what to do with the football while under pressure.
