COACH BIG PETE: Cole Jackson how was your 2019 season?
COLE JACKSON: My 2019 season went along pretty well. I exceeded all expectations that I had of myself and I think as a team we all surprised not only ourselves but our fans too with what we were capable of.
What was one of your favorite memories in 2019?
One of my favorite memories of 2019 was week 9. That is the week we clinched the playoff spot and being able to win that game and seeing all of the fans just as excited as we were was pretty cool.
How good can this Manteno squad be for 2020?
I think the 2020 squad can be exceptional. We are losing a couple seniors up front but we have some good talent coming in at the junior level next year. Everyone just has to say hungry and not settle for anything.
What game are you most looking forward to in the season?
I am most looking forward to our rival game against Peotone. Every year it is a great atmosphere and the fans really come out to support.
Who on Manteno besides yourself should I be on the lookout for in 2020?
My buddy Luke Trepanier is a great 2 way player that plays along side me on the receiving core and my returning QB Caleb Borkenhagen coming of a great year last year.
Who is the funny guy on the Manteno team?
The guy who always brings laughter to the team is Justin Wilson. He has a great sense of humor and all around is just a funny guy to be around.
