Graham Pierce Class of 2021 Glenbard West 6'2 180 LB/TE/ATH

How was 2019 season Graham Pierce?
My 2019 season was great. I was a team captain for the sophomore team and we did really well. It was a really fun season, but it also prepared me for the varsity level. Our team went 7-1-1(5-1) and all three levels won conference. It was a learning experience and I was able to get better and prepare myself for the varsity level.
What excites you the most about going to the varsity level in 2020?
Definitely looking forward to the competition. Glenbard West has some of the best competition in the state. Many teams in our conference I’ve played since I was a little kid and getting to play them at the highest level of high school will be cool to see how the competition has elevated. I’m also excited to learn from Coach Hetlet and his staff. My older brother Chase played on Varsity the last two years and I know he learned and grew a lot under the program.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
There are many things I’m working on. I’m a 3 sport athlete (football, basketball, tennis) and just getting out and making sure I’m doing something everyday to get better. But to be more specific over the offseason I’ve been and will continue to lift everyday before school and training with Acceleration, to get faster and more agile.
What should college coaches know about you?
I am a very hard worker and that I’m working everyday to master my craft. I’m a great student and I get it done in the classroom. I am also a leader, I am willing to help others and I make other players around me better.
What position do you feel most comfortable with?
I am most comfortable at inside linebacker, but I’m versatile and I’m able to play multiple positions on the defense or offense. This past year I played linebacker, tight end, wide receiver and fullback. I would be most comfortable at linebacker, but I am willing and able to play many different positions.
What game excites you the most for 2020?
Definitely Hinsdale Central. My freshman year we lost by 40, and this year we won 7 and we’ve had many battles all the back since 2nd grade. It’s gonna be a great matchup as both teams have great talent, great coaching and it’s always one of the best games in the state.
What does football mean to you?
Football is not just a sport to me, but a lifestyle. Football makes me the man I am today. Football creates the memories that you will think about when your older. Football has not only made me a better athlete but a better student and most importantly a better man. I learn lessons that will stay with me my whole life.
