Brett Kuczynski Class of 2021 OL/LS Montini 6'0 235

Brett Kuczynski how was your 2019 season?
My 2019 season was a good year for me overall. This was my second year on varsity and my first year as a starter as a center and longsnapper. Our seniors and coaches last season taught me valuable lessons to prepare myself for my senior year about how to be a leader on and off the field.
Favorite memory of 2019 was?
My favorite memory of 2019 was our come back win against Saint Rita because we were down 17-28 at halftime and beat them 45-35. The energy and motivation we brought in the second half gave me goosebumps that I will never forget.
What do you enjoy about long snapping?
To me long snapping is such a unique and critical part of football games. It is the one job on the field that requires 100% success rate or you get replaced. It’s such a perfection requiring position which is under appreciated. Also my long snapping coach Chris Rubio and all of his instructors make it such a fun and incredible position to play as well.
So how does this Montini offensive line look for 2020?
The montini offensive line will be very experienced next year with two 2 year starters in Colin Baker and Dagen Miller and me a returning starter from last year so it should be a majority senior offensive line. I’m excited to see what next year brings and it will be one of our strengths for next year. The bond this offensive line group has is one like no other and I can’t wait for next year.
What schools have you been talking to so far?
I’ve talked to Southern Illinois and Ball State. I’ve taken game-day visits there during the season to talk to coaches and I was very impressed with the environments and the cultures of both schools.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am a gamer. I work my hardest to achieve my goals on the field and in the classroom. Also that will do anything that my coach asks of me to do. I am a fast learner and I am very humble of myself. Ultimately I think I am a leader and a good teammate that can positively impact a team on and off the field.
