Aidan Ellison how was your 2019 season?
The season did not go as planned, but I loved how our team battled against the toughest schedule in the state. We ended up playing 3 different state championship teams who we competed with. I enjoyed playing linebacker, kicker and defensive back and I had some great players to look up to on the team this year. I’m looking forward to next year. I was voted 1st team All conference as a kicker and was academic all conference and all state.
What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?
Getting stronger and improving my speed. I will also be working with Kohl’s kicking coaches to improve my kicking and punting as well.
What do you like about kicking?
I love the challenge that comes with kicking field goals. The focus required to take a field goal while you hear the whole crowd yelling and the opposing team trash talking is insane. I have to block everything out and only focus on on kicking the ball. I can’t let anything distract me. I also like kicking in different weather conditions, it brings on a new challenge.
What should college coaches know about you?
Coaches should know that I have an exceptional work ethic a great teammate. I am looking forward to finding a school that has great academics and a strong football program.
What field is your favorite field to kick on?
I like kicking at Naperville Central the most because that is the field I feel most comfortable at and it is also the field I know best.
