Brody Roth how was your 2019 season?

Overall I think it went very well. There were a lot of expectations for me going into the season and even talk of not starting but after the first game I really cemented my way into the offense. Defensively it was my first year playing db and I liked it a lot. This year I think I found out where I play best on the field.

Favorite memory of the 2019 season was?

My favorite memory was playing at Evanston this year. It was one of best times I’ve ever had playing defense. Maybe it was the cold or the fact that we needed that win but there was a different kind of energy going through everyone that night.

What does football mean to you?

Football has the two things that I love the most: brotherhood and competition. It’s a special thing to have 60 people you can trust to have your back on Friday night and there is no better feeling when you and those 60 people pull together to get a win.

What should college coaches know about you?

I’m very coachable. I’m always looking to improve whether it be technique or play recognition. I want to be the best that I can at all times.

Favorite part of playing defensive back to you is?

Being a threat to both the pass and run game. When I was first converting to safety my coach told me to think of myself as a faster linebacker and I think that really reflects my playing style.

What goals do you have for yourself in 2020?

I want to showcase all the hard work I’m putting into this offseason. It’s going be a fun season being a little bigger and knowing what to expect. One of the biggest things for me next year is to make sure I stay healthy. That should be reflected in my rushing stats next year.
