Nathaniel Campbell Oswego East Linebacker Class of 2020 6'3

Nathaniel Campbell how was your 2019 season?
My season was a blast. Moving from safety to OLB I was excited to be in box and get more physical. Unfortunately it ended earlier then I would have liked but I had a great time with my teammates and coaches.
What was your favorite memory of the season?
My favorite memory was my interception during our crosstown game against Oswego. It stopped them deep in their own territory and gave our offense a chance to score early in the game.
How did your visit to Illinois go?
I enjoyed it a lot. I appreciated the opportunity to see the facilities and the team up close. They have a great culture and play with a lot of passion which is something I value.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m a hard worker on and off the field. I have a proven track record of putting the extra work required both in and out of season to be a difference maker. I also value academics, and understand the importance of working hard in the classroom. I was a leader on the defense, and I believe that actions speak louder than words when it comes to leadership.
What does football mean to you?
Football means the world to me! I have learned countless life lessons like how to work through adversity, how to lift people when they are down, and how to work together to achieve a common goal. I have met life long friends and created so many bonds that without football would have never been possible. I’m very fortunate for the opportunities football has given me.
