Enzo Rendina Class of 2020 St. Francis Linebacker 6'0 180

Enzo Rendina how does it feel to get the big win over ICCP?

It felt great winning a game against a tremendous program like IC. I loved the energy our team brought to the game. It was definitely the most competitive game I’ve ever played in.

How has your season been so far?

Personally, I love where I’m at thus far. I have coaches who’ve taught me so much about the game. They trust me as a player, so much so that I’ve played a couple different positions this year. I’ve enjoyed every second of this season with my team.

What schools have you been talking to so far?

I went to the following camps over the summer: Yale, WashU, MIT, & University of Chicago. It gave me a lot of perspective on what’s expected at a college level. The schools that really grabbed my attention were WashU and University of Chicago. They’re both exceptional schools academically with very impressive football programs.

What should college coaches know about you?

I always want the best for the team. I believe hard work and dedication are the standard, but I’m willing to devote myself to my teammates. Whether it be giving an underclassmen a ride home from practice or picking up reps for scout team, I’m looking to benefit my team.

What do you like about playing linebacker?

I think it’s a very complex position. I like the duality of pass/run coverage. This position has challenged my mental and physical toughness all throughout high school. I also love the impact of course.

Who was a linebacker that you looked up to weather it be NFL,NCAA, HIGH SCHOOL ETC?

I gotta go with my coach Jared McGriff-Culver. He’s been such a huge component in my football career. He played at Mizzou as well as a couple years in the NFL. He’s been the greatest mentor I could ask for at my position. He’s such a knowledgeable man in all aspects of life, especially football. I’m extremely grateful for him.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of IHSA Football

RESPECT THE GAME
