Adam Smith QB Plainfield North Class of 2021 5'11 170

Adam Smith how is your season going for you?

It has been going very well. We have had a lot of success on the offense and as a team as a whole. I have many weapons to throw to in Marcellus, Jaylon, and Tobenna. Our line has had great protection and our running game has been great with Nate running the ball and Cooper leading. My coaches have prepared me very well to be successful.

What has been your favorite memory so far this season?

Winning our first four games of the season because our team has never started out 4-0 in school history so that was something special to be a part of.

How good is your WR core?

They are great, probably the best in the conference. We have two division 1 receivers in Marcellus and Jaylon. We also have one of the most underrated receiver in the conference in Tobenna who is also very talented. Our fullback Cooper is also a great and reliable target to throw to in many situations where defenses don’t think he will break open a big play.

What does playing QB mean to you?

It’s special because my dad played QB. It’s also great because I have a chance to throw to great receivers and become a leader of my offense. It’s probably been the most fun I’ve had playing football.

What should college coaches know about you?

That I am a QB that can throw and run very well. I am also very coachable and a hard worker who is committed to making the team better. I also am extremely competitive and will give my team the best chance to win.

Who has had a breakthrough season on Plainfield North?

My receiver Jaylon Tillman. He has caught 12 of my 16 passing touchdowns. He is the best one on one receivers where I can count on him to go get a ball because of his size and speed. He is a great playmaker and one of my favorite targets. I can always rely on him to get open. We have had quite the connection. I hope colleges realize his great talent.
