Joe Lovelace how has your first seven weeks been?

My first seven weeks have been really good despite the two losses on our record. There has been a lot of positives and very few negatives that can easily be fixed.

What schools have you been talking to?

I haven’t really been talking to a lot of schools to be honest, i have talk to carroll university and UW Concordia University and that’s about it

What does football mean to you?

Football means the world to me and it is something i can definitely see myself doing in the future, i just love everything about the sport

What do you like about playing QB?

I love playing quarterback because i am in control, I am who everyone looks to on every drive and every snap. I am the leader that commands the offense and the one that score points for our team. I have been playing quarterback since I was six so i’m pretty comfortable in the position as a whole

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that i’m going to give 110% on every play and that i am all in to whatever they are trying to do. whether it’s practice or a game i’m going to give my best effort on each play. I am a good student-athlete as well, I believe grades and getting it done in the classroom carries onto the field. Just want one chance...

Your strongest trait on the field is?

My strongest trait on the field is probably my body language, whether i throw a touchdown or a interception i always maintain that mellow, calm type personality. i want my teammates to look at me and get calm and chill just by looking at me and seeing how calm i am. Leading by example on a friday night is very important to me.

What do you see in this Palatine team for Friday night?

In this palatine team I see friday, is a team that is out to get from last year. we’re not looking at their record because they have had a very hard schedule this year with a lot of tough teams but we are also confident in our ability to play and come out friday energetic at their home field and come out with a win. We just have to focus the little things...

Who on Hoffman Estates is having a breakout season?

In my opinion someone who is having a breakout season is our junior running back, mekhi williams, this is a guy who didn’t see the field a lot last year due to seniors ahead of him but this year he is doing amazing and making the most of his opportunity. this kid is a train and he runs like a madman. he takes a lot of pressure off me as a quarterback and bring a lot of firepower to our offense. very glad to have him in the backfield
