So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Gabriel Hernandez Peoria Class of 2020 QB 5'11 190

Gabriel Hernandez how does it feel to be on this winning streak?

The first 4 weeks have been really good to us and we’ve done really well as a team but we’ve still got a ton of things to fix and it will be real scary when our whole team is working together.

How does it feel to be on point with WRs this early in the season?

I love the connection I have with my receivers especially with our young guys Izaiah Haslett and Dionysius Hogan who have really adjusted into our system well being big playmakers so far this season. Also the older guys Chris Williams, Kaevion Mack, and Tiger Netters have been playing with me since jfl flag football so our connection is so close and we are always on the same page.

What schools have you talked to so far?

Augustana, Ripon college, Lawrence University, Loras college, Monmouth, Saint Xavier, and Culver Stockton

What should college coaches know about you?

I’m the one of the most dedicated athletes that you will never have to ask more of me in any aspect whether it be on the field or in the classroom. I’m willing to be a perfect role model for a school and a football program.

Who is the funny guy on the Peoria team?

Definitely my right guard Lamar Washington and his brother Levar Washington both of these guys are the goofiest guys ever and will never let a bad day get to you when you are around

Has anyone tried to cut Coach Thornton's beard?

I think we’re going to talk him into a deal where if we bring a ring home this year to Peoria he has to cut it. I’ve had the talks so many times with him and he won’t even budge just a little bit.
