Richie Thompson Class of 2020 Dakota LB/OL 5'11 170
Richie Thompson how was your summer?
My summer was great I was very busy playing baseball and lifting for football. I also was working at a construction company while managing to do all my sports.
How does this Dakota squad look for the upcoming season?
We are looking very good. We have a lot of experience coming back from last year. Everyone has put in tremendous effort this summer and in the weight room and in 7 on 7. Everyone is buying in to what the coaches are telling us and everyone just comes and works.
What do you see in this Forreston team for friday night?
They are still big up front and they have speed. They are very well coached, but so are we. It is definitely going to be a battle till the end. They are the defending state champs so you have to have respect for that and for us seniors we still have the grudge on our shoulders from the quarterfinal lost last year and we are looking to make a statement right away Friday.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
My goal this season is to lead by example and show how to be a leader and so when this senior class is gone the tradition can continue from season to season.
Who else on Dakota should I keep an eye out for?
Evan Riggle, Josh Clark, Luke Schwarze, Wyatt Rockey
Funniest player on the roster is?
