Grant James Class of 2020 LB Quincy 5'11 200
Grant James how was your 2018 season?
Our team had a very successful season, we went 7-3 and competed for the WB6 conference title. We had a strong offense that had a high scoring season. The defense was strong and we held teams to low scoring games. Our team had a strong work ethic that led to the successful season we had.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?
I would say that my strongest trait on the field is my drive to be a leader. One way I show this is through communication and making sure the defense is completely on the same page to guarantee we’ll be at our best.
How does Quincy look for this upcoming season?
We’re excited for the season, but we also realize we lost some good seniors. However, based off practices it looks as if we’re adapting well and have some great leaders on our team. Work ethic is huge and us seniors have to make sure we instill the culture into the underclassmen.
What do you like about playing linebacker?
Linebacker is like the Quarterback of defense. I enjoy the physicality and intelligence it takes to play the position.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
My personal goal for the season is to be one of the team captains and win the Western Big 6 title. As a team, our overall goal is to make it into the playoffs.
