Colin Gillespie welcome back... How was your 2018 season?
It was great, obviously it didn’t finish the way we wanted it to and we thought we were going to go further but I think it was still good overall
What schools have you been talking to so far?
I’ve been talking mostly with Ivy League schools- Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Brown as well as UChicago who has offered me a spot
What schools have you visited so far?
I’ve taken unofficial visits to Harvard, Brown, Holy Cross, UChicago as well as Northwestern and NIU on team visits
So what is your goal for yourself this season?
This season I really want to emerge as more of a vocal leader on top of being a leader by example in order to try to help the guys around me. Personally, I’d like to increase my pass completion percentage and take better care of the ball, I think those are two places I can really improve
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?
I think my strongest trait is probably the fact that I’m more of a dual threat QB and that at any time I can just run and threaten defenses with my legs as well as my arm
What players on Benet do you think will burst onto the scene this upcoming season?
Jacob Snell has been getting a lot of buzz this spring but I think he’ll definitely back it up with his play at DE and TE. Other names to look out for are Cole Walsh, Michael McGivney, and Sean Torres
