Xander Song St.Charles East DT Class of 2020 DT 6'4 265
Xander Song how was your 2018 season?
As a team we didn’t do as well as we had hoped, but I contributed to my team well.
What schools have you been talking to so far?
Cornell, Darthmouth, Drake, UINDY, Western Michigan and Western Illinois
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I’ve only been playing football for two years.
How does St.Charles East football look this upcoming season?
Our offensive line is returning 3 starters this year so they’ll be fun to watch for sure. Most of our backfield will be returning this year, the Conns and Bj Crossen will definitely be people to look out for. Our receivers were young last year and were bringing back some great players like Nate Hull and AJ Risberg. Our defense has amazing players all around from Nick Schumann to Jalen Farmer to Kyle Hayes, every one of them works hard and shouldn’t be underestimated. I think our team really has the potential to make it far next year.
What do you like about playing defensive tackle?
I just get to be big and take up blockers so my linebackers can make the plays. It’s not a hard job but it’s really fun.
What does your summer college camp schedule look like?
Northwestern, Yale, Brown, Harvard, and UChicago
What does football mean to you?
Football is a way that I get to spend time with my friends, and the thing that motivates me through everything I do.
