Xavier McKinney how was the Lemming Showcase?
It was awesome I got to showcase all of my abilities that I’ve been working on all offseason
What schools have you talked to so far?
I have talked to many schools like Kansas State, Miami of Ohio, Western Michigan, Western Kentucky, South Dakota State, Indiana State, and many other schools
What should college coaches know about you?
College Coaches should know that I work hard every single day to make myself a better student-athlete by not only doing the big things but also the small little things that make a big difference
How was your 2018 season?
Although we took a couple tough losses, I had an amazing 2018 season with all my teammates, coaches, family, and friends. I definitely got better as the season went on and so did the team. I learned a lot last season and it really showed.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
I’ve definitely been working on my overall speed all offseason. I’ve also been working on my technique in pass coverage and footwork but I’ve still been making really big gains in the weight room.
What goal do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
I am going to be a very dominant force on our defense next year. I want opposing coaches to have to game plan and make adjustments just to slow me down. I also want 100+ tackles, 15+ TFLs, 5+ Sacks, and at least 2 Interceptions
