Charlie Aberle Class of 2020 Lake Forest OL/DT 6'1 270

Charlie Aberle how was your 2018 season?

It was overall a good year. We had some really quality wins this year, but didn’t quite go as far in the playoffs as we would have liked to. Personally, I thought I had a really good season. I think I improved a lot and really enjoyed playing with some great teammates.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?

Overall, I’ve been working to get stronger and improving my overall quickness. I’m also doing track and field which has helped greatly with my footwork.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

Academics will never be an issue for me, I prioritize school and then football. I will also be the hardest worker in the room, and one of the smartest players on the field at all times.

How does Lake Forest look this upcoming season?

We’ve got some good talent returning, but we have to play as a team and focus on what we can accomplish collectively. If we do that, I think we can play with anyone on our schedule.

What is the greatest feeling in the game for you?

Winning to me is the best feeling, nothing tops that. In a close second, pancaking a defender or creating a hole for a touchdown run. There’s nothing better than getting a pancake and playing a little nasty.

What does your summer college camp schedule look like?

I will be attending the Georgetown camp on June 1st, the Penn camp on June 29th and potentially the Drake camp

What is one game that you wish you could schedule against Lake Forest and why?

I would love to play Phillips again with the same team we had from last year. They were a really good team, but I think if we had another shot we could knock them off.
