Mason Reiger how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season went really well. I got a great taste of what it felt like to compete and what kind of effort was needed at the varsity level. Our regular season ultimately went well 6-3, winning conference. First round we played a good team at Hinsdale Central and did not have the result that we hoped. I was awarded all conference at the end of the year.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
That i am a student athlete, and am always on top of my grades. My effort on the field is substantial play after play. I am working towards becoming a leader on and off the field. Always eager to learn a new skill to make my game better.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
I have been working consistently in the weight room on getting stronger to catch up with my height. Also i have spent time on the field working on my speed and agility.
How does Conant look this upcoming season?
We are looking good in the weight room, hoping to put all the pieced together once the summer starts. This off season has been working on getting some players to truly buy in and it has paid off. The 2019 season should be an exciting year for us
What does your college camp schedule look like this summer?
So far i have signed up for a Northwestern and Purdue camp and I’m looking to find a few more
Who are some players on Conant I should be on the lookout for this upcoming season?
We definitely have some players that are going to make a huge impact on the field. Malik Fredrick coming off a terrific sophomore year is going to have a break out season. Some other big time guys on the defensive side of the ball include Derek Lewandowski and Kyle Prondzinski. We also have some incoming juniors that will step up and fill big roles as well.
