Hayden Mikesell Class of 2020 QB Marist 6'4 195
Hayden Mikesell how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season was good I did not start at quarterback, but I learned a lot more about the game by studying film which is going to help me for the upcoming season.
What do you think you learned the most from Mike Markett?
The thing I learned most from Mike would definitely be leadership. Mike and I have actually become very close friends over the past 2 years and he has just been a great mentor to me always pushing me to work my hardest in everything.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
The number one goal is to win a state championship, but a personal goal of mine that I want to achieve is 25 touchdowns. This may seem like a high goal but with all the talent surrounding me I think I can do it.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I really enjoy studying film and learning about the game because I think it is a key component to know all about the opponent you are facing. I also work very hard to get stronger and faster every day with my team and on my own.
Favorite route to pass to?
My two favorite passes to throw is about a 15 yard comeback and I like throwing the go/post route.
Who is the funniest coach on Marist?
I would have to say the quarterback Coach Shalvis because the QB’s and him are always together so we have a lot of funny conversations.
What does your summer college camp schdeule look like?
I am currently in the process of mapping that out, but I was planning on attending the Virginia Tech, Purdue, and Brown camps. I might be doing other camps I still have to get it all planned out.
