James Golaris Rolling Meadows Class of 2020 WR 6'2 185
James Golaris how was your 2018 season?
I had an okay season with 4 catches for 38 yards and some good blocks, I did not get to see the field as much as I would have liked on offense due to our two great returning senior receivers and majority of my plays were made on kickoffs making 6 tackles.
What excites you the most about this upcoming season?
The most exciting thing for me this season is getting the chance to show people what I can really do on the field when it matters and really making a name for myself this season. As for the team as a whole I’m really excited to show people what we can do, especially coming off a great season.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
This offseason I worked hard on perfecting using my strength and height to my advantage for jump ball situations and contested catches as well as working on my speed coming in and out of cuts to keep my routes crisp.
What do you say to a incoming junior who has to wait for a chance?
I would tell them to keep working hard and pushing themself as hard as they can so when they finally get the chance they’ve been waiting for they’re ready to perform on the field. Most importantly I would tell them not to lose drive in working hard because it can be tough working hard and not knowing when that chance will come.
What game are looking the most forward to?
The game I’m looking the most forward to is definitely Hersey. After last years close game for the conference championship against them, I know they will be going all out to try and redeem themselves from last year and because of that its going to be an exciting and fun game to be in.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
A personal goal I have this season is to get recognized as an all-area all-conference player
