Danny Gonzalez OL Bolingbrook Class of 2020 6'3 305

Danny Gonzalez how was your 2018 season?

My 2018 season was great! It didn’t end exactly how i wanted it to but it was a great experience. I learned what it takes to play at the varsity level, I learned just a lot in general. There is definitely room for improvement of course but I’m working on it now and getting ready for next season!

What schools have you talked to so far?

I just came back from a great visit at Minnesota State Moorhead, had a great time there. I have Lakeland University planned on April 27th, Augustana College on April 28th, and Monmouth College on May 4th. And i am currently talking to Ave Maria University.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that Im always gonna give them everything I got. I’m willing to do whatever they need me to do in order to be successful. Coaches should also know I like to have fun and always have a positive mindset but I know when its time to work, and when its time to work I work hard!

How does the Bolingbrook offensive line look for this upcoming season?

The Bolingbrook offensive line is always well built, big, and scary! And this year it shouldn’t be any different. We have some big guys that are ready to step up as well as the returning starters, so everything is looking great!

Why do you think Bolingbrook has such a great lineage of OL?

It all starts with coaching. A top notch coaching staff like Bolingbrook makes kids want to come play for them on Friday nights. I know as a young kid watching Bolingbrook on Fridays, it was my goal to play for Coach Ivlow.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?

I would say my short term memory. It may sound funny but I mean my ability to bounce back from mistakes! There are always mistakes in games and not everyone can let it go right away and move forward. With me I think of it being in the past and there is nothing you can really change. So i just move forward with the next play and make sure it doesn’t happen again!

Who is the funniest lineman on Bolingbrook?

John Williams without a doubt. He’s also one of those guys that is always hard working and serious but when we have those fun times oh man!! Always a great time with my good friend.
