Kolbie Erickson Class of 2020 OL/DL Trenton Wesclin 6'3 250

Kolbie Erickson how was your 2018 season?

My season was pretty good even though it was my first time starting varsity and we had a whole new coaching staff. I had a couple of really solid games even if they didn’t end the way I had wanted them too and I feel like it was a really good learning experience and something I’ll never forget.

What do you like about playing on the line?

I believe that everything starts with the guys upfront, it’s a very important part of the game and I enjoy being able to help the guys out beside me and make the plays needed to score on every drive possible.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I’m willing to go out there and make the plays needed to win games and I enjoy learning more about things on and off the field each day and helping teammates learn from mistakes. During both the season and off season I’m working to make myself a better person and teammate. I also feel like if there’s something I need to do I won’t stop until I reach that goal.

Who was the toughest DL you faced last season?

Nashville was the toughest defense we faced. Their guys upfront were so physical and weren’t afraid to do anything it took to make the plays needed to win the game. They knew what to do before the play even happened and there was no stopping them.

Your strongest trait on the field is?

I’m a very physical athlete and I love to go out there and show people that I’m not afraid to go head on no matter what.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My main goal is to give the guys around me everything I’ve got to make myself and them better football players to become the best team we can be.

What game are you looking forward to this season?

I’m gonna have to say the Breese Central game because going into it I know we will be very underrated and I’m ready to show people all of the improvements we’ve made as a team and show them on our home field that were not the same team as last year. Something about playing those guys lights a fire in our guys that we don’t see against any other team in our conference. I feel like it’s gonna be a very good game and very enjoyable to watch.
