Michael McIntyre Osseo (MINN) DE/TE Class of 2021 6'4 210

Michael McIntyre how was your 2018 season?

I would say that my 2018 season was very eye opening. It showed me that playing varsity is a lot different from any level I had played at before. It taught me the importance of the weight room and how much of a necessity it will be for me to be in my upcoming seasons.

Favorite memory of the 2018 season?

I would say it was when we had the Marines come out during our two a day practices. They put us through a on field workout that their guys go through every day it challenged our whole teams mental ability to keep on pushing through adversity. My other favorite memory might be getting in our first game of the year against our rival Maple Grove and getting a pass deflection the first play of my varsity career.

What should college coaches know about you?

They should know that I am a hard working defensive end who has a lot of heart and am willing to play anywhere to help my team win. I am currently working on putting on weight and getting stronger just becoming a better overall athlete. I’m a pretty smart guy with a 3.8 gpa trying to raise it a little more to give myself the best opportunity to play college ball.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason ?

My ability to stop the run I was kinda weak last year in my overall strength and weight so it was difficult for me going up against some of the bigger o line men so I have been working on gaining weight so I can do a better job of stopping the run. Coach Co either line of scrimmage Minnesota really helped me out with my hand placement and my get off

So how does Osseo look this upcoming season?

We are looking to have a come back year this season after going 0-9. We have a lot of guys who are hungry to taste a winning season and I think people will be surprised when they see what we will do this season.

What does football mean to you?

The word football to me means an opportunity to test yourself and build character. It also means an opportunity to better myself in every aspect of my life from hopefully going to school for free to just building myself into the best man I can be.
