Bennet Krebs how was your 2018 season?

The 2018 season was awesome for our team and for me personally. We started off great and had high hopes to make a run into the playoffs. However during our fifth game I broke my fibula and was out for the remainder of the season. We also had a few more key injuries that proved costly for us but we continued to persevere and make the playoffs with a 7-2 record. Unfortunately we lost in the first round of the playoffs. I had a great experience and enjoyed playing with some awesome guys. Can’t wait for next season!

What schools have you talked to so far?

I have been in contact with quite a few schools. I got mail from Minnesota, Yale, and Harvard. However I have been consistently talking through email/text to the Ivy League schools like Brown, Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Ball State and Cornell as well as Wyoming, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Northern Arizona, Lindenwood, Northwest Missouri, Sioux Falls, and some D3 programs.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I would like college coaches to know that I will always represent their program and university with honor and dignity and I will always strive to be exceptional on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.

What do you like about playing in the trenches?

I love the physical, one on one aspect of line play and, although respectful of my opponent, I expect to use my power and size to dominate anyone across from me ultimately leading to opening holes and to team success.

Who is the bigger eater you or Schellenger?

Haha he’s a big guy but I think I’ve got him on this one!

How good can this Mater Dei line be this season?

I believe we are averaging around 265 lbs so we should be unstoppable on the ground especially with the coaching and technique we are taught!

Give me a player that you went up against that deserves to be talked about more?

Keshaun Jones from Centralia is always a good battle during summer 7 on 7’s.
