Dayven Shinhoster how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 football season was good, individually I felt I stood out on the field and felt like a strong leader inside the classroom behind the scenes. As a team we under achieved and going into my senior I look forward to leading my defense and my team to are full potential.
What should college coaches know about you?
I want coaches to know that I want to play at the highest level of competition and play against the best players in the nation. I play football for the competitive aspect of the sport and i know that I could be a great player on any team
What excites you the most about this upcoming Barrington season?
This upcoming season excites me because this is it the last opportunity to show coaches that I have what it takes. Also the potential that my team posses is great and I’m looking forward to leading my team to a state trophy next year
Game you are looking forward to the most this upcoming season?
Our very first game against Warren will be the one marked on everyone’s calendar they are a great team and will be a great test to see where we stand.
What schools have you talked to so far?
I plan on visiting South Dakota, Wyoming, Brown and Minnesota Moorhead
What does football mean to you?
Football means an awful lot to me. It's seriously the best time of year and I'm so physically and emotionally invested in it. I've been playing football for about 11 years and seem to only getting more and more invested in my team.
Who are some Barrington players I should keep an eye out for this upcoming season?
Quinn Ketel are running back will be a huge part of are offense, along with Ray Schmitz and Niko Kutrombis leading the oline. On defense Lucas Kozlowski at safety will definitely be a person you have To look out for along with Johnny Podlesnik at corner or safety
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
My goal this year is to be on Illinois 1st team all state
