Blake Whaley how was your 2018 season?
I think I had a good year our team struggled as we played against the top teams in Minnesota with probably the hardest schedule in the state
What does Prior Lake football mean to you?
Prior lake football means a lot to me and my family. We’ve been apart of the varsity football program for 7 years. My two older brothers Johnny and Zach, Zach is now at Kent State. They both played D-line just like me and all three of us also won the iron man competition while at prior lake. My family has great respect for this program.
What has been the best advice you ever receive from your older brothers about football?
My brothers would always tell me “keep your mouth shut work hard on the field, go crazy in the gym and outwork everyone” both Zach and I had the highest totals for strength team, and Johnny was pound for pound strongest on the team when he played.
What schools have you talked to so far?
Kent State, NDSU, SDSU, University of South Dakota, Wyoming and UND
What should college coaches know about you?
I think most people would say I’m a tough hard nosed player and I understand the dedication that It takes to play at the next level and I truly love the game of football.
What do you like about playing on the defense?
I love the physical aspect of playing D-line. I love the hype and energy we get after making big plays
What has you the most excited about this upcoming Prior Lake season?
We have a lot of good talent coming back this season. Most of us have been playing together since 3rd grade. My teammates and I have been in the gym working our tails off. I feel confident about having a good record next year.

Nate Raddatz, Dylan Bair, Parker Ellis, Willam Jones, Austin Gordon, Dj Doyen and upcoming juniors Tyler Shaver and Cam Miller
