Alec Pallela Class of 2021 Bartlett Tight End 6'5 220

Alec Palella how was your 2018 season?
This season was something completely new for me. Having the chance to play up on varsity as a sophomore was an amazing opportunity. Coming into the season everybody thought that Bartlett was going to be the door mat of the conference. That was just motivation for us everyday to fight harder and stronger. Being able to help the program, and my team flip our record from 2-7 to 7-2 was a crazy experience!
What does football mean to you?
I’ve been playing football my whole life. When I put those pads on, I enter a whole new world. Ever since I was a little kid, my dream was too play varsity football, and now I’m living that dream. Football has introduced me to my closest friends, and I have built relationships with teammates and coaches, which I consider my second family. Football has taught me not only how to be a man, but also how to fight through adversity. It motivates me to continually improve myself. These are things I will use throughout my entire life.
What schools have you talked to ?
Personally I have talked to Northwestern and went on an unofficial visit. My coach’s have been contacted by University of Illinois and Western Michigan
What should college coaches know about you?
I will do anything and everything in my power to be the best player and teammate I can be. I will work hard to help the team succeed. I’m coachable, and I will compete everyday on and off the field. Although playing football is one of my biggest passions, grades are the most important thing, and I’ll stay on top of them no matter what.
What excites you the most about this upcoming season?
We accomplished a lot with a really young varsity team last season and there’s room for growth. I am most excited about the potential of my team. If we work hard, I believe we can win conference and make a run in the playoffs, which would be an awesome accomplishment!
Who are some Bartlett players I should be on the look out for this upcoming season?
The three kids I would look for would be Tyler Rivelli, Matt Young, and Tony Derosa. They are all juniors and leaders on the team. Tyler is going to be our running back and huge for our running game. Matt Young is a wide receiver and has some of the best hands I’ve seen. Tony is a beast at linebacker. He’s not afraid to lay anybody out. They are all going to be a big part of our team next season!
What goal do your have for yourself this season?
I have a couple goals for myself and some for my team. I want our team to work towards a conference title and make a run in the playoffs. A goal I have for myself is to be a leader on my team, and push all of us to work our tails off. Last season I was honored to receive All-conference and All-area honorable mention. My last goal is to work towards a All-area award and even All-state!
