Connor Lopez how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season was memorable, our team went 9-2. It was special playing with a strong senior class.
What schools have you talked to so far?
The only schools I have talked to so far are Augustana for Football and St.Ambrose for track. Talking too a few more at the moment as well. I’ve also been invited to numerous prospect camps.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I am a very competitive team player, I never give up, I feed off pressure. Championship seasons are won during routine workouts in the offseason. I am always working to get better each and every day.
What does Metamora football mean to you?
What Metamora football means to me is tradition, family, and hard work. I moved here from another state in 8th grade and entering the small town Metamora football signs are everywhere. I couldn’t wait to put on that Redbird uniform and play for coach Ryan.
What position do you feel most comfortable in?
I feel most comfortable playing WR. I’ve been playing it since I was 8. I feel like my height gives me the advantage over defenders.
What have you been doing in the offseason to improve yourself for the upcoming season?
I have been constantly lifting, watching film, and participating in track to better my speed.
Who are some young Metamora players that I should be on the look out for?
Some young metamora players you should look out for is 2021 RB Zach Poston, his speed is incredible. Another 2020 receiver you should look out for is Ashton Roe, another tall receiver.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
A goal for my self/team is a state championship.
