Jacob Morrissey Class of 2020 Edwardsville LB 6'0 205
Jacob Morrissey how was your 2018 season?
I believe I had a great season overall. As a team we had our ups and downs but in the end we were very successful. I definitely grew as a player and a leader this past season and when that happens the stats and film follow.
Favorite memory of last season?
I’d say our game against Evanston; it was a cold and hard fought game that most people didn’t expect us to win. Our defense played spectacularly and that’s always going to be the deciding factor in a game with two great offenses.
What schools have you talked to ?
Iowa, Iowa State,Indiana state, Western Michigan, Northwest Missouri, University of Cincinnati, University of South Dakota, NIU and plenty more.
What should college coaches know about you?
As a inside backer I take the most pride in leading the defense and never settling for good enough.
How good can this group of Edwardsville linebackers be?
We have 3 returning starters in Evan Ramirez, Eric Epenesa and myself so I believe the potential is limitless. We will do great things.
What do you like about playing on the defense?
Of course the running and hitting but my favorite part is that on defense we are all held accountable each and every play and collectively working to diminish the opposing team.
When I say "Senior Season", What does that mean to you?
It means everything. One last chance to prove myself and to show all the hard work that my teammates and I have put in together over the years. It will be a season to remember.
